About

Hi!

I’m Natalie

I’m a happy gal who is happily married and navigating through life in and around Raleigh, North Carolina.  I started this blogging stuff way back in 2001 and it’s slowly evolved over time into something I’m really proud of, and a documentation of life thus far.  I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, starting my first journal when I was in just the fourth grade.  The technology of blogging just seemed like the natural progression and I love it.

What’s My Story?  Well?  It’s a long one, I’ll tell you that!  I grew up an army brat and have lived in numerous places including Germany, Colorado, Indiana, Texas, North Carolina and Virginia.  After bouncing around all over the country, I settled in Northern Virginia where I reconnected with my now husband.  We bought a house, got engaged, got married all within a year, and then spontaneously moved to Raleigh to pursue our dreams of a slower pace and more fulfilling jobs.   Exciting stuff, right?!

What is the Purpose of My Blog?  Mostly, I blog for myself.  I’ve always been one to document life as it happens, so my blog really allows me to do that while sharing it with those who are interested.  Every now and then, I go way back and see how much things have changed and evolved and I’m so glad I can go back to those moments in time, even if just for a moment or two.

Do I Have a Specific Theme?  I’d consider my blog to be a life blog.  I tend to write about what’s relevant on any given day whether it be my adventures in cooking, organizing things in the house, a recap of our day, or any of our travels.  It’s always changing and I plan to keep it that way.
