Because I’ve been parked on my ass for the majority of the last 10 days and have now officially been sidelined by infection, we thought it would be fun to turn off the tv and work on our little Lego project tonight. Since it was a small project, it didn’t pain me too much to sit up for 30 minutes.
I didn’t grow up watching Star Wars but that actually made putting our little space craft together more fun. I was asking Chris how all the characters related to each other, if R2D2 and C3PO were BFF’s, and how on earth George Lucas came up with words like “Jedi,” and “Wookie.” I also made him tell me the story while we were putting it together and it was fun to hear him tell me about the movie and how the piece we were working on was involved in the movie.
It was nice to get off the couch and turn off the tv and laugh and feel like kids. We both grew up on Lego’s, so it was a nice twist on some of our childhood memories.
