I was reading some news online this morning when I came across a story about a death penalty case in Florida. Evidentely, the man on death row was to be executed for murdering a woman 27 years ago. When it came time to execute him, it took two doses of the chemical cocktail, and he appeared to “grimace” before dying.
Opponants to the death penalty claim that the 3 ingredient drug is “inhumane” as it causes extreme pain that the inmate can’t express because one of the ingredients causes paralysis.
I’m sorry, but if you’re convicted of murder, then chances are that your victim didn’t get to have a pleasant death. Chances are they didn’t want to die, they didn’t know that was their last day on earth, and they didn’t get to say their goodbyes to the people that they love.
Being a killer, you know when your time is up. You can pick your last meal, choose your last words, and say goodbye to those who matter to you. Victims on the other hand, don’t have that luxury.
If you don’t want to die in such an “inhumane” way, then don’t act like an animal.
